This is a parcel of crystal and semi-crystal opal of good quality. It is sound material and has cut some very nice gems in our shop (there are some listed on this site now). This is true crystal - if you never cut it, you are in for a treat... a whole new world. There are several cabs in here, and a couple doublet or inlay pieces. These are smaller pieces from $400 to $1000 per ounce rough. We have a good deal of this rouh in all sizes and grades.

27.5+ cts., nice opal, mostly skin to skin, crystal/semi-crystal. Size reference: the thinner triangle piece is 17.8x 17.8x 17.8, 4.3 mm thick... the other triangular is 14.3x 12.8x 12.5, 7.5mm thick. The colors are bright, greens, some blues, some orange - the camera did not begin to catch all the fire. There are 2 pieces in here which flat out will each cut a gem worth more than the cost of the whole parcel ... RECOMMENDED. $SOLD but MORE IN STOCK, email us!

29.5+ cts., There is some very nice fire in this lot, but skill with opal required on the orientation/cut! The colors are bright, greens, some blues, some orange - as usual, the camera did not begin to catch all the fire. Should all cut cabs, though the harder piece will be a real challange as the extreme fire sits right atop an irregular surface noted below as "tough"). $85.00

Sometimes a shot underwater lets you see a bit better what is there after cut/polish and cuts down the reflections... all of this has fire and will cut with fire, for an experienced cutter :)
