This is a parcel of white base opal and a sliver of excellent crystal. It is sound material and has cut some very nice gems in our shop (there are some listed on this site now). There are several cabs in here, and a couple doublet or inlay pieces. These are smaller pieces from $400 to $1000 per ounce rough. We have a good deal of this rouh in all sizes and grades.

Couple pix of the whole parcel (yes, we added the piece in upper right) and pix of 5 of the pieces... opal is wet for photos! A couple of the pieces are NOT workable - like the spectacular crystal sliver - just for display, or the inventive! (I would dremel polish and shape a bit, mount in baroque jewelry).
A couple of these will cut gems worth far more than the parcel. 41+ cts total, $75.00

Remember this is rough, we did rub most of it some but not full into the fire - that is your job and those who do that are cheating you of some recovery, and some fun ... so in most cases the fire will be better than what you see now.
This is proven, solid opal, no cracks, no junk, hardly any waste.
