I just love Rhodocrosite combined in pieces with Opal ... as well as stand alone. Some is a deeper, more crystalline red than i prefer, some has much more black ... we look long and hard for the nice pink and white that we feature here - hope that you love it too!
We do tend to cut our slabs on the thick side - i think it is worth the bit of extra cost to have alot of room to work, getting the best possible look from this material. Our slabs are not exactly perfect either so the thickness range of a slab is indicated as (example:)7/9 mm.
